An email thread from Tony Garcia regarding a Vista problem

Problem
Hello,
Love the software. I loaded 1 month worth of data, saved, exited the program, and when I tried to restart I received the following error:
“Network initialization failed. Permission denied. File: C:\PDOCUSRS.NET Directory: C:\”

Ever received feedback about this error?

Solution

Thanks for the response. After thinking about it I decided to look into the admin permissions for new applications. I have Windows Vista and have not delved deeply into it’s settings.

There is a program setup wizard that takes the owner through questions and steps. One question was if I wanted to allow the program admin permissions…..I selected yes and this allowed the program to run and function properly.

I provided details in case one of your users runs across this issue in the future.

    downloaded the software today…everything seems to be OK except that the date line “From To” is greyed out and is showing From 1 Jan 2000 to 1 Jan 2009. Consequently I am unable to view current info input eg for June 2009.

    The Rider, Rides, and associated data is accepted by the programme, I just can’t see it on the Clendar

    Hi Glenn - The ‘From To’ dates are only for use in the graph section. Click on the ‘graphs button up the top and they ‘ll become live. There is a drop down below the ‘from to’ dates for choosing the month and year for the calendar to display.

    Ive downloaded the program today and everythings working fine, except for one thing. When I want to ad a new ride I fill out everything and then it says:’ invalid parameter’. Ive got no clue what it can be because I filled out everything proper. The weird thing is, when I dont fill out the time it says ‘Fill in the fields’ and when I dont fill out my bike its also says ‘Fill in the fields’. Ive only got the problem when I fill out both.

    Just downloaded and instaled the SW and it really seems what I need
    A simple thing! :o)

    I’m having problems when trying to add a new ride
    An “Invalid parameter” pop-up shows up

    What am I doing wrong ?

    Hi Wilem - First thing to do is check the ‘Known issues’ section under Software Help on this site. It maybe running the software as administrator gets around this problem
