Cycling Software

September 9, 2008 by admin

We’ve developed simple, easy to use software for cyclists like ourselves.
An uncomplicated way of recording our rides and training that can give us the feedback we need to go that little bit further. It has been developed with ourselves as the end users and input from cyclist and gear heads world wide - driven by wanting a simple solution that we could then share with as many people as possible. Just register your interest below and we’ll send you the link to download the software immediately.

HI Wesley - We’ll be building a heart rate function into the software as it develops. Let us know what else you’d like to see.

The software is great. I am a triathlete, and want to use it also for my run and swim trainings. Is it possible to add this trainings also in the software? That should be the max.

Hi Christoph - Thanks for the feedback. We’ll look into adding this in future versions. In the meantime you could annotate each session as a run, ride or swim.

Hi The software looks great and is easy to use, but I can only run it as administrator on my vista computer. If I just double click on the desktop icon I get
network initialization failes, Permission denied, File C:\PDOXUSRS.NET Dierectory C:\.

Any help to overcome this would be great Please
    Andy

Having a problem getting the software set up. When I add a rider it takes the information, then if I try to add a second rider it asks for the height on a blank screen and does not allow me to enter the information. I have reloaded twice, same issue.
    I am running Windows Vista

Hi Walt - Thanks for posting this issue. We’ll look into it and also check out the new page on known issues - http://www.cycling-secrets.com/2009/06/software-known-issues/
This will be the conversation ground for identifying any problems and getting the whole community involved in finding what are platform issues and what are bugs.

Thank you for the software. It is great .I find myself anxious to get to my computer and enter the data for that day. Almost like looking at a reward trophy after two months of data entery. It is motivating me to go out and not let a box sit empty. I wish it would give me more info. like calorie used, fat burned and that is not a complain. I wouldn’t mind paying for it if I could have all my data on the same program instead of 3 different places.

    Thank you

    Razmik Rashidyan

Can you please send me the free software.
    Many thanks.

Hi Peter - You just need to put your email address and name into the fields on the software page and you’ll be sent an email confirming your address before a download link is sent. We an then keep you posted on newer versions and updates as they are developed.

Firstly using this has improved my riding no end. I am a 55 YO social rider. I use the system to guage improvement on set rides. I look at what I did last time immediately prior to a ride and aim to do better when riding the same route.

I noticed a posting from Norbert Ellul on 22 October 2008 and I had the same problem whem I updated my computer I lost old data because I could not transfer the data to a disc to put on the new machine. I am not really good with computers so I probably missed a simple step.

    Please advise me.

Hi Warwick - Glad to hear the software is helping your training so much. The issue you mention is something we’re looking into right now - as the software develops in line with users feedback things like this are getting attended to. For the moment, it’s not you it’s us. In the next update you’ll be able to save out an easilly identifiable file that can be loaded back into the software on a separate machine or new installation.
